![]() If you do decide to get it, you need to opt into the Oculus Beta in steam for the game and add "-oculus" as a launch option. It sounds like a total joke of the game, but I'm convinced the developers knew VR was coming when they released the original Euro Truck Simulator in 2008. If you have a wheel and an HMD (it works with the Vive and DK2), I truly recommend you pick this up. My roommate walked in (who has limited VR experience) and just laughed and called me an idiot. I actually found myself in a traffic jam jamming out to music earlier today while playing, and I actually yelled at the car in front of me for cutting me off. There is even an in-game radio and the built-in headphones for the rift really make the audio fell real. ![]() One of my favorite things is if I turn my head all the way around to the left and lean, it actually puts my head outside the window and the sounds change so it isn't muffled like being in the cab. The 'basics' I use are cruise control, range selector for the gearbox, lights (including brights), and turn signals. The control can be extremely complex if you want them adding things in like engine/exhaust braking. I never get any stutter, it does have some weirdness with fences and bushes (like there is not anti-aliasing), but nothing to ruin the immersion. The game itself runs amazing on my computer-full maxed specs on my 3770k and 970. First, some background, I have a G27, and I've already played Euro Truck Simulator 2 so I knew the basics of the game. I honestly picked this game up just to screw with right before getting my rift not thinking much of it. No low effort memes, gifs, image macros, etc.My version says it's not compatible with VR but you hit ok anyway. Then back to general tab and under launch options type in -openvr Close the window and start the game with headset activated. Then find betas and make sure you have the Oculus 1.40 beta selected. Read the FAQ before posting a question. FIrst thing to do is to right click on Truck sim and select properties. This is a place for friendly VR discussion, don’t start drama, attack, or bait other redditors.Welcome to /r/Oculus, a place for Oculus fans to discuss VR.
